After months of checking, looking, searching, collecting ideas, research, phone calls, and planning you are in the final stretch before your big day. The vision for the ceremony and reception have all been actualized into reality. The wedding party is outfitted and prepped. You can hardly wait for the day to arrive and walk down the aisle. And while these are crucially important for your wedding, these are not the only opportunities you have to enjoy your celebration and have fun. Let me ask: How often do you and your closest friends get to hang out as a group, drink, be loud, get wild, enjoy spa, relax, or raise hell together? When was the last time all of you did something together? The day or two before the wedding begins where all of you get to do a test run for hair, makeup, and other pre-wedding activities hold a lot of potential to set the mood for the big day ahead. As you look ahead and are preparing for a day full of festivities, here are some recommendations to make the most of the time you have with your BFFs.
Select Music for the Day
Have your entire day wrapped in music. No joke! From the time you fall out of the bed in the morning, to the scheduled activities of the day- to the seconds you say, “I do,” make it as much fun as possible. Be crazy, dance with your girls, sing at the top of your lungs, reminisce about the “good ole days”, talk about the boys that could have had, and imagine the magic moment when you will enter the ceremony space in your dress. There is no reason to have a boring, typical, stress filled wedding day! Get one of your bridesmaids to manage your music playlist entire day. That is what they are there for. To pamper you.
Make sure You have Snacks
It is quite possible for the bride to get wrapped up in the day’s activities. maybe have some wedding day butterflies and forget to eat. That was not in my case, I ate like it was my last day before going on a diet. That said, you will enjoy your day, the dance party, the photoshoot, and all the events that happen if you have something to eat throughout the day. And your bridesmaids will definitely have a better disposition y cheering you on if they have had some finger sandwiches and cut up fruit. Brides don’t typically plan for food for the day, it’s just not on their mind with everything else that’s going on, who can blame them? Which will most certainly lead to her and her girls be quite a bit hangry by the reception time. So, grab some peanuts, granola bars, protein bar a case of water and your party energized.
Have a Solid Timeline
Ok, hear me out. Although this post is about having fun on your wedding day, trust me when I tell you; the quickest way to diminish a good pre-wedding party is to realize you’re two hours behind schedule and don’t have the time for mimosas. Having a solid timeline in place and having someone ensure that you stick to it, like an Event Planner (for instance) you will be sure not miss your own party. on the Wedding day goes by oh so quickly. A good plan and/or a great Wedding Planner will eliminate all of your worries , reduces stress, will get rid of your need to rush, and will allow you to rest knowing that it is all being taken care of.
So …. Have Fun, Enjoy, Take it All in, Celebrate, be with your friends, Party. …. Afterall, it is a wedding!
